The Parish of Seale and Tongham was abolished on 31st March 1984, and two new parishes – Tongham and Seale & Sands, were formed on 1st April 1984, the Parish of Tongham being designated as the residuary successor parish.

The first Annual Parish Meeting of Tongham Parish Council was held on 21st May 1984 at 6.30 p.m.

Tongham Parish Council holds meetings on the third Monday of the month where members of the public are very welcome to join us and have access to our County and Borough Councillors. Agendas can be found in the Parish noticeboard (next to the fish and chip shop) or on our website, and the Clerk also publishes them on Facebook.
